The Hawaiian language is alive and growing in influence. Hawaiian is now the primary language in many classrooms and other settings, but there is still a great need to make Hawaiian more accessible to more learners. To address this need, we have included basic Hawaiian words and phrases in the English translation of No ka’Ilio Mo’o. A Hawaiian language lesson and glossary are also included at the back of this book to provide additional learning opportunities. Our hope is that readers will discover that learning Hawaiian can be fun and rewarding.
