This is a step-by-step presentation on how to download eBooks to your Kindle eBook reader. This tutorial covers the Kindle Fire HD device.

Today we are going to learn how students, teachers and librarians can download eBooks, from the School eBook Library, for viewing on Kindle Fire HD or Fire HDX devices. To get started, you will need: An Amazon Kindle Fire HD or HDX device An internet connection or data service And an eLibrary card for the School eBook Library Let’s begin: If your school gave you a direct link to the library, please skip this part of the tutorial, otherwise open a browser and type into your search bar. Now, open the menu and select Sign In. From here you can enter an offsite access code provided to you by your school or enter your username and password and tap “Sign In” After you log in, the homepage of the School eBook Library will load. Your homepage may look different than this one but everything in our tutorial will work the same way. Before we talk about downloading books, let’s investigate some of the exciting discovery tools for students, on the homepage. First, our eBook Finder. This is a great tool for finding interesting resources quickly. Simply type in a search term and tap search. We also have a collection of video tutorials, like this one, taking you step by step through many of the fun and useful features of our library. In addition,---- you will find a variety of collections hand curated for students of all ages such as math and history lessons, audio books, children’s literature, graphic novels and sheet music. Now, let’s get started: If you would like to browse for a book, simply select the books tab from the main menu. This will take you to the “Academic Research Collections page.” Select any one of our collections to continue browsing for a book. On the other hand, if you know what you are looking for, you can search for it using the eBook finder tool. Today we will search for one of my personal favorites, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” by Frank Baum. The eBook finder tool will help make author title and article suggestions based on the information entered If you see something you like, feel free to select it, if not, continue with your search. This brings us to the search results page which includes eBooks, articles and other resources. When you find the resource you’re looking for, tap the resource title to load the “book details page.” The book details page provides information about your book, such as author, publisher, file size, and the collection your book belongs to. As you can see, your book has already opened and is ready to read now. By tapping here, you can translate the text into other languages, like french. The tabs here contain author title and subject information relevant to your book in the form of encyclopedia articles These articles are supplied by World Heritage Encyclopedia. We have also provided collections of other books related to the book you are reading now . School eBook Library gives you several options for saving your ebook including Google Drive and Dropbox, 2ND STANDARDIZED PORTION All - Congratulations, you have successfully added a new eBook to your device. While you’re visiting us at the School eBook Library, be sure to explore all the resources our library has to offer, including a student self-publishing portal, educational test preparation videos, and for younger students, video book readings of popular children’s fiction titles. Thanks for watching. Until next time, this has been Mia with the School eBook Library.
