1. INTRODUCTION The Fourth Meeting of the South-East Asia Nutrition Research-cum-Action Network was held at Hotel Sentral, Jakarta, Indonesia, from 10-14 June 1996. The agenda of the meeting is given in Annex 1. The participants represented nine Member Countries of the Network. Their list is given in Annex 2. Besides, there were 11 participants deputed by the Government of lndoncsia and five by independent agencies. Dr Barbara Underwood from the Nutrition Unit, WHOIHQ, and Dr Sultana Khanum, Regional Adviser in Nutrition, WHOISEARO, acted as resource persons.
